Kennel Inlicio is found in Melhus, about 25 km south of Trondheim, Norway. Our dogs and we enjoy life at our home "Solgløtt", a name that best can be translated as "glimpse of the sun". Here the dogs run and play in the 4400 m2 garden, which we and our friends also use as training field. The forest is our nearest neighbour, with fantastic terrain for both hikes and training.

The owners of Kennel Inlicio are Johanna Järnegren and Henrik Jensen. Johanna is Swedish but has lived in Norway since 2001 while Henrik is Norwegian. Both of us are biologists and work as research scientists at NINA and NTNU in Trondheim, respectively. Johanna is a marine biologist with the deep-sea and cold-water corals as her speciality while Henrik remain on land where he studies conservation biology and genetics mainly using the house sparrow as a model species. We've had Tollers since 2004 when we were lucky and got Remus from Vildandens kennel in Sweden. With him, a burning interest for the breed and different activities with dogs was ignited. He is the one that has taught us most of what we know of dogs and dog training, and is thus the founder of our interest in dogs and our kennel. Our new hope Jing from kennel Redadict in Finland arrived in 2007, and took our hearts with storm!

We are active within many different dog sports and train and compete in hunting, working/utility, game-tracking and obedience. We also go to dog shows every now and then. We regard the Toller as an active working dog that deserves to be allowed to work with both body and mind. Another important aspect of breeding that we focus on is mental assessments of dogs, and its use in breeding and training.

In 2004, we participated in founding Trøndertollerne, an activity group for Toller owners in Mid-Norway. We are still active members here and regard it as an important meeting place for all Toller owners. Johanna has been  member of the hunting committee in the local Retriever-club and editor for the local utility dog club's magazine. She has participated in many courses within hunting, obedience, tracking, utility, mental training and has the Norwegian kennel clubs breeders course as well as hunters degree. Her main interest lies within hunting, utility work and mental tests. Henrik is a member of the Hunting and tracking committee in the local Retriever-club and also in the central Retriever-club's Game-tracking committee. He has his main interest in tracking and trailing. He has taken several courses in tracking and obedience and has recently begun with special human trailing with Remus. Henrik is also a talented photographer, especially of dogs in action. His pictures has been published in the big Norwegian dog-magazine Hundesport (front page!), Retrievernytt (several front pages), Nidarhunden, Nea-Hund as well as in books and other magazines. He also took the pictures for and designed the cover of the Norwegian Toller Breed-book 2007.

We believe that for the Toller to develop as a breed, co-operation across borders are necessary. We therefore co-operate with kennels and other people in Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Finland and Germany.
